About The Position

Under the leadership of the department director of Behavioral Health Services and the assistant director of Garden Pavilion, the social worker is responsible for completing psychosocial assessments and participating in ongoing treatment planning for patients on the acute psychiatric inpatient unit. The social worker is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team responsible for planning and implementing a program of group and individual treatment modalities including discharge. Must demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making ability and ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

• Experience in an acute care hospital or inpatient psychiatric unit.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Master’s degree in social work required.
• Current license to practice in the State of California LCSW, MSW or actively obtaining hours towards LCSW preferred.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Complete psychosocial assessments for patients.
• Participate in ongoing treatment planning for patients on the acute psychiatric inpatient unit.
• Plan and implement a program of group and individual treatment modalities.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Benefits

• Pay range of $49.77 to $66.56 for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW).
• Pay range of $47.40 to $63.39 based on years of applicable experience.
• Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $3.39.
• Hourly Night Shift Differential: $5.09.
