About The Position

The Social Worker Supervisor in the Transitional Housing Programs provides supervision to the direct service staff to ensure program compliance and high-quality services. When needed, this position carries a reduced case load providing direct service, support, appropriate referrals, case management and service coordination for adults placed in the transitional living programs.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree in a behavioral science from an accredited institution of higher learning that can meet the qualifications of CCL for social work supervisor
  • At least three years experience in working with children and families.
  • Must have a valid California drivers license and good driving record.
  • Must be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing assigned tasks for this class of employee.
  • Must meet Title XXII personnel requirements with regards to fingerprinting, forms, and documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills including timeliness and accuracy in documentation
  • Possess or be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certificates within 30 days of employment.
  • Obtain within the first 30 days of employment Pro-Act (Professional Assault Crisis Training).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite in particular Word and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children and families in a clinical position under the supervision of a Licensed Professional.
  • Eligible to take licensing exam based on completion of clinical hours.
  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document Social Work Supervision to social work staff on a weekly ongoing basis, maintaining active communication with Program Director.
  • Ensure contract compliance by reviewing and approving documentation by social work staff, including but not limited to chart audits and reports (SIRs, monthly, etc.).
  • Function as the liaison between county contract representatives and the program by communicating the needs of the county and of the program via participation in County provider meetings.
  • Facilitate Child and Family Team Meetings and Stabilization meetings representing the agency in a professional manner.
  • Provide and document regular and on-going activities/trainings to staff in the required contractual areas.
  • Provide support to staff participating in rotation of 24 hour on-call program/crisis intervention services by ensuring actions taken align with trauma informed care and contract compliance.
  • Meets bi-weekly with the Clinical Supervisor for clinical supervision and bi-weekly with the Program Director for administrative supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work with the Program Director and county staff to receive and review referrals, determine eligibility for the program, and determine needs of the potential participant.
  • Ensure that all participants complete orientation and understand the commitments they are making including maintaining AB12 and program compliance with consistent engagement.
  • Conduct weekly face-to-face sessions with each participant and additional sessions as needed to help ensure that the participant receives monthly monetary provisions, supportive service coordination, life skills development training, case management, crisis intervention, and/or psycho education.
  • Ensure that all participant files are well maintained and up to date with all required documentation including intake/exit paperwork, service delivery notes, Needs and Service Plan, Casey Life Skills Assessment, and other reports as outlined by the contract.
  • Participate in rotation of 24 hour on-call program/crisis intervention services for young adults enrolled in the program.
