Social Worker/Social Worker Assistant-San Luis Obispo- Coast
About The Position
Central Coast Home Health & Hospice is a fast-growing, locally owned and operated organization with an excellent reputation throughout the Central Coast. We are now seeking a full-time Medical Social Worker to work with both Home Health and Adult Hospice patients in the San Luis Obispo-Coast area (San Luis Obispo, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cambria). This individual will be working in our Hospice and Home Health Program with a lot of autonomy and flexibility while also receiving meaningful direction and supervision from an LCSW. Clinical Supervision is available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Human Development or master's degree from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Minimum of one-year social work experience in a healthcare setting, home health &/or hospice experience preferred.
- Understand the "hospice philosophy" and issues of death and dying
- Reliable vehicle to drive for work
- Current Driver's license
- Clean background & driving record
- Maintain auto insurance coverage
- CPR certified
- Act calmly and professionally at all times
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Work well independently and in a team environment
- High attention to detail and good follow up
