The Intimate Partner Violence Assistance/Military Sexual Trauma Program Coordinator (IPVAP/MST-C) develops and implements the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) Programs and ensures compliance and collaboration with local facility and VA Central Office IPVAP/MST initiatives. Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Program Coordination Provides clinical evidence-based services including assessments and interventions; program development; Veteran, family, caregiver, and staff education; community outreach; resource development; program evaluation; continuous quality improvement activities; and consultation. Responsible for clinical and administrative programming and operations; developing policies and procedures for program operation; preparing reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use. Responsible for the program's budget and funding sources. Administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of services provided to Veterans, families, caregivers impacted by IPV and MST, and VA employees impacted by IPV. Develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, demographics, and outcomes. Provides direct Veteran, family, caregiver, and VA employee contact to identify and assess risk, safety, supports and the development and appropriate interventions. Conducts Veteran, family, caregiver, and VA employee interventions to facilitate the identification of MST, IPV, psychiatric illness, emotional distress, and social needs. Provides referrals to VA medical and mental health programs and other VA services including VA benefits, as well as community-based social services, and non-VA programs. Develops a library of IPV and MST assistance information material for distribution throughout various inpatient, outpatient, and residential settings. Serves as a liaison between the VA and community agencies. Provides education, training, and consultation to clinical and administrative staff in outpatient and inpatient areas with questions regarding IPV programming, eligibility, services, and policies and procedures. Psychosocial Screening/Assessment Develops IPV screening and assessment tools and protocols in clinical areas which serve Veterans who experience and/or use IPV. Conducts psychosocial screens and/or assessments of Veterans referred to IPVAP services, such as individual or group services, Strength at Home (SAH), and associated programs, such as Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills (PAIRS). Psychosocial Treatment and Intervention. Works closely with Veterans to identify and support their preferences in care and personal treatment goals and offers resources and supports tailored to the unique needs and desires of the Veteran. Participates in the creation of the Veteran's treatment plan to identify clinically indicated psychosocial interventions. Provides a full range of psychosocial treatment interventions, including, but not limited to Veteran and caregiver support for emotional needs, information and referral for financial and other resource needs provided by VA and community agencies, and appropriate and timely involvement of behavioral health and/or specialty medical care services. Evaluates progress towards treatment goals and proposes changes in the treatment plan, as appropriate.
