About The Position

The Women Veterans Program Manager serves as the primary subject matter expert, coordinator, and program administrator for all services and initiatives related to women Veterans across the Lexington VA Health Care System, including all Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary subject matter expert, coordinator, and program administrator for all services and initiatives related to women Veterans across the Lexington VA Health Care System.
  • Oversees program development, implementation, evaluation, and compliance with national VHA policies, directives, accreditation standards, and performance measures related to the care of women Veterans.
  • Functions as a system-level leader to ensure that timely, equitable, comprehensive, and high quality care is delivered to women Veterans.
  • Provides strategic planning, program oversight, consultation, training, and continuous performance improvement activities.
  • Collaborates closely with Primary Care, Mental Health, Specialty Services, Nursing, Social Work, Patient Experience, and Executive Leadership to integrate women's health needs across all clinical and administrative functions.
  • Represents Lexington VAHCS in regional and national workgroups, monitors data trends, coordinates outreach activities, and serves as the primary liaison with internal and external partners to promote access, continuity of care, and patient-centered services for women Veterans.
  • Required to perform social work clinical duties to support facility clinical needs, at the discretion of the ELT member.
  • Develops and implements outreach strategies to identify and engage women Veterans.
  • Conducts staff training and promotes trauma-informed and gender sensitive care.
  • Enhances awareness of women Veterans' needs across the facility.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and reports program data related to quality, access, and utilization.
  • Completes all national Women Veteran Program Manager reporting requirements.
  • Uses data to support continuous improvement activities..
  • Chairs or co-chairs the Women Veterans Health Committee.
  • Supports Whole Health initiatives, preventive care, and mental health integration.
  • Operates independently under the general supervision of the Primary Care Service Chief or designee.
  • Resolves complex issues, collaborates with internal and external partners, and keeps leadership informed.
  • This position may require other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
