About The Position

The incumbent is assigned to Whole Health Service and is responsible for development and maintenance of professional standards of service, initiating and effecting changes in methods that will promote efficient practice, integration, and coordination of the Whole Health System with other programs within the Jonathan M. Wainwright VA Medical Center catchment area and in conjunction with other sites through the VISN 20 Whole Health Telehealth Service Agreement. This role coordinates implementation across a myriad of various roles including employees in Behavioral Health and Primary care, recreation therapists, yoga instructors, Tai Chi instructors, other Complementary and Integrative Health instructors, Whole Health Coaches, and Whole Health Partners under the Whole Health Service. Duties will include: Administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of service provided to Veterans. Develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visit, referrals, patient demographics, equipment utilization, and patient satisfaction in concert with the Whole Health leadership. supervises provides clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit/services including monitoring outreach efforts and for the coordination, planning, and development of key administrative activities for the Whole Health Program. The incumbent, in concert with the Whole Health Clinical Director, will provide guidance to staff to meet or exceed all CARF and T JC standards. To do so, the incumbent will conduct ongoing intensive reviews and appraisals to ensure the accomplishment of objectives and adherence to standards set by governing bodies and report accordingly to the Whole Health Clinical Director regarding outcomes established. Formulates, interprets, and implements policies and procedures for outpatient programs and the Whole Health Service as appropriate. Incumbent represents the administrative decisions of the Clinical Director, Whole Health Service, and is responsible for the integration of the Well-Being programs in Whole Health operations. Assists the Whole Health Clinical Director in initiating action to fill Whole Health vacancies and works with the other members of the Whole Health leadership team in interviewing and selecting job applicants. Responsible for various fund control points, budget limits, and Action Items assigned to the programs. The incumbent controls the use of data related to these programs regarding day to day functioning and program evaluation. In conjunction with the Whole Health Clinical Director, Whole Health Service, the incumbent plans, organizes, and directs administrative, operational, patient and personnel activities for the Well-Being Programs and/or the Services. This role is responsible for the Equipment Inventory Listing as well. The incumbent must be licensed certified in a state at the advanced practice level and be able to provide clinical supervision for licensure and clinical oversite to the program in its various implementations. Oversees the development and implementation of a financial management system, which includes cost and budget analysis, forecasting, and control of any funds which may be assigned to the program under the incumbent's oversight. The incumbent is responsible for budget formulation, control point management, and ethical and appropriate procurement of supplies. Incumbent is expected to knowrelevant fiscal procedures and work effectively with Fiscal Management Service. Performs work related to the review, monitoring, analysis, planning and assessment of various programs and is responsible for key project activities related to the planning, development, and implementation of the project component. Responsible for submitting reports to the Whole Health Clinical Director, Medical Center supervisors/managers, and the Executive Leadership Team as appropriate and advising management on issues, making recommendations in a timely manner for improvement in the services. The incumbent will advise the Whole Health Clinical Director on all key aspects of the Whole Health Well-Being programs and will address any special needs for the Service in the Section. Participates and plans "in-service" training programs and works with the individual staff in identifying learning needs and necessary special educational programs and readings to meet these needs to further staff growth in professional/clinical knowledge and skills. May also facilitate Whole Health Pathway and Well-Being programming to Veterans and/or employees.
