About The Position

The Social Worker performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Requirements

• Education: MSW only.
• License: LMSW or will consider the experienced LLMSW.
• Experience: Requires at least 1 to 3 years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility.
• Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Combination of education, licensure and experience and/or student internship hours may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs.
• Enable patients to access therapeutic treatment skills.
• Provide basic consultation and teaching.
• Deliver specialized clinical social work services for patients and families.
• Conduct crisis intervention.
• Facilitate short-term and long-term family therapy.
• Provide information and referrals as needed.
