About The Position
Harborview Medical Center - Social Work has an outstanding opportunity for a SOCIAL WORKER to join the Pediatric Clinic. The Pediatric Clinic serves a diverse, medically and psychosocially complex population of children, ages 0 to 21 years. This position is expected to last six months and involves working with immigrant and refugee communities, including the use of interpreter services during patient and family interactions. The role includes providing direct social work services to HMC patients within primary and specialty care clinics while adhering to HMC policies and procedures and the NASW Code of Ethics. Knowledge of community resources and social systems impacting children is essential, including DSHS, DCFS, educational systems, and developmental centers. Experience working with infants and their caregivers is desired.
