The EMU Social Worker would provide critical support in both inpatient and outpatient settings to enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. This dual-role approach ensures comprehensive care for epilepsy patients across all care settings while addressing key gaps in social and psychosocial support. The EMU Social Worker will work as part of a multidisciplinary team both on the inpatient unit and in the outpatient clinic, consulting on all EMU admissions to address psychosocial needs and assist with the coordination of care. The EMU Social Worker will provide ongoing psychosocial support and counseling, advocacy, community referrals and coordination of concrete services. Additionally, the social worker will establish and lead a regional epilepsy support group. This is a day shift, Monday - Friday position.
