About The Position

The Social Worker MSW/MSW SR position within the Adult Palliative Consultation team at the University of Michigan focuses on providing specialized psychosocial support to patients and families dealing with advanced illnesses. Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice social work in the State of Michigan.

• Current APHSW-C certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide counseling to patients and families regarding coping and management related to Palliative and End of Life Care.
• Advocate for patients navigating healthcare systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, Social Work meetings, and committee work to support patient care.
