About The Position

The Social Worker LMSW PRN in Cartersville plays a critical role in providing compassionate and professional social work services to individuals and families in need within the community. This position focuses on assessing client needs, developing care plans, and connecting clients with appropriate resources to promote their well-being and improve their quality of life. The role requires collaboration with healthcare providers, community organizations, and families to ensure comprehensive support and advocacy for clients. As a PRN (pro re nata) position, the social worker will provide flexible, as-needed services that respond to fluctuating client demands and organizational needs. Ultimately, this role aims to empower clients through effective intervention, education, and resource coordination while maintaining compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) credential in the state of Georgia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or related field; Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations in clinical or community social work settings.
  • Strong knowledge of social work principles, ethics, and relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a PRN capacity.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare, mental health, or community-based social work.
  • Familiarity with local Cartersville community resources and social service agencies.
  • Certification in crisis intervention or trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to clients experiencing emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties.
  • Coordinate referrals to community resources, healthcare services, and support programs to address client needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and case management activities.
  • Advocate for clients’ rights and access to services while ensuring confidentiality and ethical practice.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Stay current with social work best practices, policies, and relevant legal requirements.
