Position Highlights: Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development What you will do: The Community Hospice has a full-time opportunity for a social worker to join our hospice team caring for patients in homes and nursing facilities as part of our Interdisciplinary Team. As a member of the hospice team, the primary focus is to respond to the emotional and psychological needs of patients, families and staff. Position is full-time Monday- Friday 8a-4:30p.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work is required.
- NYS LMSW licensure is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Medical, Psychiatric, or Health Care setting
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders
- Provide specialized bereavement therapy for individuals, couples and families
- Provide specialized bereavement group therapy for people of all age ranges
- Participate as a grief counselor one weekend a year in a pediatric grief camp
