About The Position
To provide clinical assessment, therapeutic intervention and resource mobilization for families and children who have complex psycho-social and emotional needs in a multi-disciplinary pediatric hospital setting. Pediatric social workers provide these services to children 0-18 years of age and their families. This position is intended for a strong LGSW social worker, who may occasionally work in tandem with the on-site LICSW social worker while providing services hospital wide.
Requirements
- License/Certification/Registration required? Yes Minnesota State LGSW, LICSW preferred
- Master's degree in social work required.
- Experience providing crisis intervention.
- Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to provide good, clear documentation of work.
