About The Position

Provides clinical assessment and evaluation to emotionally ill individuals, collaborating with psychiatric and other health professionals for the purposes of quality diagnostic and treatment services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited school
  • Minimum of three years’ experience
  • Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Will consider Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA)with expectation that the pass LCSW or LPC exam within 18 months

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group and family counseling with focus on Children and Adolescents.
  • Develops, communicates effectively and maintains relationships with appropriate outside agencies & community services.
  • Maintains a client caseload.
  • Adheres to all charting requirements, policies and procedures in a timely, accurate & concise manner.
  • Attends multidisciplinary team meetings/case conferences.
  • Attends supervisory sessions.
  • Completes initial, emergency and ongoing assessment of patients.
  • May conduct home/hospital visits of patients and families.
  • Complies with all confidential regulations, reviews patients' rights with the patient.
  • Provides clinical review, pre-certification and re-certification to insurance companies & collaborates with department financial counselor.
  • Supervises masters prepared Social Workers to aid in ongoing professional development and performance improvement so that program census revenues remain.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
