About The Position
The position is for a Social Worker at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System in Richmond, Virginia, specifically assigned to the Inpatient Team under Social Work Service. The role involves providing direct patient care, including psychosocial assessments, case management, care coordination, and discharge planning. The social worker will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to assess the bio-psychosocial stressors contributing to a patient's hospitalization and assist in forming treatment plans. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and the position is not eligible for telework or remote work.
