About The Position

As a Social Worker at Mayo Clinic, you will provide services and facilitate solutions to the medically related psychosocial/environmental problems of patients and families. Responsibilities include:
Ensuring the continuity of patient care by implementing interventions which may include initial assessment, identifying mental health disorders, brief behavioral health interventions, information and referral, during hospitalization.
Providing educational support to staff.
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors and external agencies to access services for patients.
Diagnosing under the direct supervision of a LCSW social worker.
This LMSW position will assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
