Under limited oversight, functions as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide case management, crisis intervention, evaluation, counseling, referral, planning, and other treatment services within their practice area. Maintains working knowledge of available community resources and evidence-based practices to target the diverse psychosocial and emotional needs of patients, families, and groups. The Division of Community Psychiatry is seeking an experienced, Licensed, Psychiatric Social Worker for the Walter P. Carter Clinics. The position is located at the Fayette Clinic on the UMB campus. The clinics are a part of a large academic Department of Psychiatry that is committed to excellence in service, teaching and research. The clinic provides comprehensive mental health services to adults and children. The adult team provides psychiatric treatment, substance abuse and case management services to adults with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses. Caseload size is approximately 70-75. As a primary therapist on a multidisciplinary team in a community mental health clinic, the incumbent is responsible for providing individual, group and family therapy, as well as case management and dual diagnosis services.
