The Clinical Social Worker II (CSW II) is a master’s-prepared social worker (MSW) registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The CSW II must have passed the BBS Ethics Exam and either passed or be eligible to sit for the LCSW licensing exam. In this role, the CSW II provides comprehensive medical social work services, including psychosocial assessments, supportive counseling, therapeutic interventions, patient and caregiver education, and linkage to community resources. Responsibilities may also include providing clinical supervision to MSWs and BSW/MSW students, as well as facilitating support groups. The CSW II participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning, program development, quality improvement initiatives, crisis intervention, and on-call coverage. The position actively supports the delivery of high-quality psychosocial care and contributes to organizational performance improvement through committee participation or leadership of improvement projects. Additional duties may include involvement in staff education, policy development, research, and program planning.
