About The Position

The Social Worker - Inpatient Psych acts as a coordinator of psychosocial assessment and discharge planning for the patients/clients receiving inpatient psychiatric services at the Hospital, providing leadership and psychosocial support necessary to address the individual's needs. Acting as a resource to patient/client, utilizes knowledge of community and health care resources to assist in addressing identified needs at any point of the continuum, pre-admission to post-discharge. Using timeliness and appropriateness of intervention, facilitates quality resource utilization, i.e., Length of stay and level of care.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other appropriate degree.
• 3-5 years of experience preferred.
• Maryland Licensed LCSW license; LMSW candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities
