About The Position
Durham County Government employs approximately 1,900 employees that work towards providing needed services throughout the community. This position is within the Social Services (DSS) department and is a full-time, non-exempt role. The job involves providing counseling, case management, support, and preventive services for families with children, including homeless families, and making appropriate referrals to individuals and agencies. The role requires processing and maintaining a variety of forms and records and arranging for the provision of services in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations.
