Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field, plus one to two years related experience, is required.
  • Licensed Social Worker or Social Work Associate (or the ability to be licensed) through the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners, is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, is required.
  • Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes.
  • Requires a valid auto-insurance, a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive case management services by assessing client needs and developing individualized service plans that support children and families in achieving stability and well-being.
  • Coordinate and connect clients with appropriate community resources including medical, educational, legal, financial, and behavioral health services while collaborating with referral partners and treatment teams.
  • Offer basic counseling, support foster care placements and family visitation, monitor progress toward treatment goals, and advocate for clients to strengthen functioning and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation, reports, and case records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
