About The Position

New York-Presbyterian/Queens, located in the wonderfully diverse neighborhood of Flushing, Queens, is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, serving Queens and metro New York residents. We are seeking a Social Worker for our Emergency Department. Experience a place where Social Workers are respected. Utilize your inpatient experience to provide a variety of psychosocial services, coordinate discharge planning and continuum of care for patients and families from across the world. Assist them in enhancing their capabilities of coping with illness and daily functioning. Here, you will experience all the reasons why you entered such a rewarding field. This is a Part Time Night shift 7PM - 8:15AM; 2 shifts per week at NYP/Queens Hospital in Flushing, NY.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW).
• New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW).

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of inpatient Medical/Surgical experience.
• Discharge Planning experience.

Responsibilities
