About The Position

The Social Worker position at Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC) focuses on providing support and services to families with children aged 0-3 through the Early Start Division. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of social welfare or related human services field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience in multi-cultural settings and/or multi-lingual capacity.
• Knowledge of child development and family relationships.
• Good interview skills and team spirit.
• Ability to balance conflicting priorities and focus on key job outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with MS Office or similar software applications.
• Crisis management and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

• Case Management experience with infants or children under 4 strongly preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred for this position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments for clients and families.
• Develop and implement Family Service Plans.
• Coordinate services and act as an advocate for clients and families.
• Monitor child's developmental status and provide developmental activities.
• Provide intake services and crisis management as needed.
• Educate clients and families on available resources and support.
• Research and initiate referrals to community resources and services.
• Maintain client records and ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
• Participate in community meetings and internal task forces.
• Coordinate transitions from Early Start services to local school districts.
