About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Mobile Medical Bus Driver to join our team! The driver is responsible for safely transporting the Mobile Medical Bus and providing superior service. Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for interacting with fellow drivers, maintenance staff, and the public. Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are required qualities for this role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current, unencumbered drivers license
• Safe driving record
• Must maintain clean driving record and have a current and active drivers license at all times

Nice To Haves

• Large RV or bus driving experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent driving skills

Responsibilities

• Organized, punctual and reliable
• Drive safely, responsibly and be prepared for all road conditions
• Respect fellow employees, equipment and customers
• Ensure compliance with the Hours of Service requirements
• Knowledge of handling a fire extinguisher
• Pre and post trip checks of the unit each time it is used
• Complete all applicable paperwork required
• Communicate with manager at your scheduled time, prepared and ready to go
• Fuel/charge batteries as required and record information as per procedure
• Maintain a clean bus
• Complete & submit all pre-trips for all defects
• Attend required safety meetings and other training sessions
• Report unsafe conditions
• Report an injury
• Cooperate with the facility manager through involvement in all aspects of the health and safety management system
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations and policies
• Know where registration, inspection and collision reporting documents are located
• Carry drivers license when on duty driving
• Notify manager immediately if drivers license becomes lost, stolen or destroyed
• Present new/updated drivers license to Human Resource and Manager
• Report any traffic violations to Manager
• Be well groomed and appropriately attired for the season
• Be willing to drive in all kinds of weather, light, road and traffic conditions
• Any additional duties or tasks assigned by the supervisor
