About The Position

We are looking for dedicated Social Workers for inpatient case management. Under the supervision of a social worker, you will conduct diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention and psychotherapy, and provide education for patients and their families. You will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team in that collaborates to develop and implement treatment and transition plans. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship with the exception of the TN visa classification; Also, Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEMP OPT extension program.

Requirements

Master of Social Work (MSW)
Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of treatment, and skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy.
Knowledge of adjustment to medical diagnosis and chronic disease.
Strong human relation skills to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources.
Psychosocial diagnostic skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and in written form.
Valid driver's license.

Internal candidates who have not met their current department's 1- or 2-year commitment, must attach an early release from their current supervisor.
International Degrees: A detailed equivalency evaluation is required, demonstrating a U.S. equivalent degree. Evaluation must be completed by an organization listed as a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) (www.naces.org) or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) (www.aice-eval.org).
