Social Work Temporary Pool
About The Position
Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania invites applications for temporary faculty positions (full-time one semester, part-time one semester or part-time academic year ) as needs arise in the Department of Social Work. The social work department has a BSW and MSW program relating to generalist practice. Based on the specific needs of the department at the time of appointment, a successful applicant must be qualified to teach introductory and/or upper-level courses in social work. Course(s) may include introductory and upper level social work courses. The location for these temporary positions could be at any one of the Commonwealth University campuses with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
Responsibilities
- Teaching undergraduate courses at any of the Commonwealth University campuses.
- Communicate with faculty and students ongoing academic information as needed.
- Communicate with chair of social work department any concerns or problems.
- Attend faculty staff meetings as needed to understand changes in role and responsibilities.
- Participate in evaluation and observation of own class during academic semester.
