About The Position

Are you obsessed with the creator economy? Do you understand why some videos explode to millions of views while others disappear into the void? Can you take a 45-minute podcast episode and turn it into five pieces of content that each hit differently on five different platforms? Then we need to talk. Arizona's Family is looking for a Social Media Video Producer who is laser-focused on growing our streaming shows and podcast portfolio through bold, creative, platform-native video content. This isn't a traditional TV job — this is a digital-first, audience-obsessed, growth-driven role for someone who thinks like a content creator, executes like a producer, and analyzes like a strategist. You'll be the engine behind turning our long-form streaming content and podcast episodes into short-form social gold — building loyal audiences, driving subscriptions, and putting Arizona's Family at the forefront of the next era of local media.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in social media video production, digital content creation, or a related field — ideally with experience growing a podcast, streaming show, YouTube channel, or creator brand.
  • Expert short-form video skills: You live and breathe Reels, TikToks, and Shorts. You know how to hook an audience in the first 2 seconds and keep them watching.
  • Strong video editing proficiency: Fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools. Motion graphics experience (After Effects) is a major plus.
  • Platform-native thinking: You don't just repurpose content — you reimagine it for each platform's unique culture, format, and audience behavior.
  • Podcast and streaming fluency: You're a regular podcast listener and streaming viewer. You understand the medium, the audience expectations, and what makes people subscribe and come back.
  • Copywriting chops: You can write scroll-stopping captions, compelling CTAs, and engaging on-screen text that enhances your video content.
  • Growth mindset: You're not satisfied with vanity metrics. You care about real audience growth, retention, and conversion — and you know how to move those numbers.
  • Self-starter energy: You don't wait to be told what to create. You bring ideas, pitch concepts, and take full ownership of your content pipeline.
  • Collaborative spirit: You work well with hosts, talent, and cross-functional teams — making everyone around you look and sound better.

Nice To Haves

  • Bonus: Experience with audiogram tools (Headliner, Descript), podcast distribution platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart), or streaming platform management (Roku, Amazon Fire, YouTube TV).

Responsibilities

  • Transform long-form into short-form magic: Watch, listen to, and deeply understand our streaming shows and podcast episodes — then identify and clip the moments that will hook audiences on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X.
  • Produce original social video content: Concept, shoot, and edit original short-form video content — teasers, trailers, behind-the-scenes, host spotlights, audiograms, and promotional clips — that drive tune-in and subscriptions.
  • Grow our streaming and podcast audiences: Develop and execute platform-specific social strategies designed to convert casual scrollers into loyal subscribers and regular listeners/viewers.
  • Be a storytelling architect: Identify the most compelling hooks, soundbites, and moments from each episode and package them into irresistible, binge-worthy content that leaves audiences wanting more.
  • Manage content calendars: Plan, schedule, and publish content across all platforms with consistency and strategic timing — building anticipation before episodes drop and sustaining momentum after.
  • Optimize for each platform: You don't post the same video everywhere. You understand aspect ratios, caption strategies, hashtag culture, trending audio, and algorithm behavior on every major platform — and you create accordingly.
  • Engage and grow communities: Foster authentic engagement around our shows and podcasts — responding to comments, collaborating with hosts on their personal channels, and identifying opportunities to tap into trending conversations.
  • Track, analyze, and iterate: Monitor performance metrics — views, watch time, follower growth, click-throughs, and conversion rates — and use data to continuously refine your content strategy.
  • Collaborate with show hosts and producers: Work closely with podcast hosts, streaming show producers, and on-air talent to capture authentic, engaging content and ensure their personal brands amplify the show's reach.
  • Stay ahead of trends: You're always watching what's working in the creator space — new formats, emerging platforms, viral trends — and you're quick to test and adapt.
