About The Position

Social Studies Teacher Shape Tomorrow's Leaders Fork Union Military Academy is a private, Christian, all-boys boarding military school located in the scenic heart of Central Virginia, serving grades 7–12 and postgraduate students. We are seeking a Social Studies Teacher who can deliver strong instruction in history and related disciplines, maintain clear classroom standards, and contribute to a structured, mission-driven school community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in History, Social Studies, Education, or a related field (required)

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience (strongly preferred)
• Virginia teaching license or eligibility (strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned Social Studies courses (e.g., history, government, civics) aligned with the Academy's college preparatory curriculum
• Develop and implement lesson plans and assessments
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students
• Support student growth, accountability, and classroom culture
• Maintain a structured, well-managed classroom environment
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success
