About The Position

The State of Mississippi offers a variety of benefits to its employees, including health and prescription insurance, wellness benefits, life insurance, optional insurances, flexible spending accounts, paid personal and sick leave, military leave, holidays, retirement programs, deferred compensation, credit union membership, tuition reimbursement, career development and training, promotional opportunities, and career ladders. Life insurance coverage is two times the employee's annual salary, up to $100,000. Employees can participate in pre-tax spending accounts for childcare and medical expenses. Full-time employees earn approximately 18 days of personal leave and 12 days of sick leave annually. Military leave is granted for training, and employees enjoy up to 10 paid holidays. The retirement program includes both defined benefit and contribution plans, with vesting after 8 years. Employees can also participate in a deferred compensation plan and are eligible for tuition reimbursement for higher education. Career development opportunities are available through various training programs and promotional opportunities are offered after 6 months of service.
