Social Servies Director Status: Full Time As Director of Social Services your role is to plan, develop, organize, implement. evaluate, and direct social services programs at the facility in accordance with current existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures, to assure that medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. Golden Palms Rehabilitation and Retirement is a historic, Harlingen based Retirement Community, Skilled Nursing and Retirement Facility. Are you a Social Worker who is passionate helping people? Requirements

• Must have, as a minimum, a bachelor's degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in a human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling and psychology.
• Social work experience in a skilled nursing/long term care setting working directly with individuals.
• Must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public.
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• This position does not require a license.
