Our Social Services Designees excel at serving, protecting and advocating for our residents and families. Social Services Designees are responsible for the operations of the Social Services Department, providing for each resident's social, emotional and psychological needs, and the continuing development of the resident's full potential from admission to discharge. Assists in the education regarding aging, Resident Rights, facility services, etc. Participates and contributes as a member of interdepartmental teams (IDT, QAPI), following all established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the Social Services Department.
• Address the social, emotional, and psychological needs of residents.
• Support the development of each resident's full potential from admission to discharge.
• Educate residents and families regarding aging, Resident Rights, and facility services.
• Participate in interdepartmental teams (IDT, QAPI) and follow established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Post-Secondary education with a bachelor's degree in Social Work and/or related field preferred.
• Ability to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, families, and employees.
• Capability to perform the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
