Partners with region consultants and provides support to executive leadership and location staff by assisting with location transition projects and other identified areas of concern. Provides consultation services in the rehab skilled service line (nursing, social work, dietary, HIM, MDS coordinator, Alzheimer’s, behavioral and activities) including rules and regulations, policies and procedures, programs and systems. Provides guidance to locations regarding social services through consultation with region consultants and other staff. Researches and remains current on local, state and federal rules and regulations and standards of practice. Creates and updates policies and procedures. Manages the complex process for approval of and submission of new and revised policies and procedures. Provides interpretation of policies and procedures and regulations. Works with other consultants and National Campus employees, consults with location employees to ensure compliance in programs. Tracks employee compliance with GSS initiatives i.e. advance care planning. Creates and updates job orientation and training programs. Mentors employees through the job orientation and training process. Creates and updates training resources and forms. Provides training through educational sessions i.e. webinars, workshops. Responds to incidents created by the center for solutions. Participates and assists with grants/research studies as applicable. Collaborates on cross-functional work with other organizational systems. Learns computer applications used at National Campus. Provides support for computer software applications used by locations. Provides guidance on management, budgeting, staffing, products and equipment. Assists locations in all states with problem solving through consultation. Works as a member of the organization's interdisciplinary team. Conducts occasional on-site visits to campus locations. Recommends innovative strategies to meet the demands of the industry and the regulations. Attends educational conferences. Participates in acquisitions, start ups, divestitures, closures and mergers. Coordinates creation and updates to Resident Handbook. Possesses a broad knowledge of skilled nursing center and rehabilitation programs, operations and practices. Possesses a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software and computer equipment, such as personal computers and terminals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, nursing or related field required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience long term care experience required.
  • Licensed social worker required.
  • Possesses a broad knowledge of skilled nursing center and rehabilitation programs, operations and practices.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software and computer equipment, such as personal computers and terminals.

  • Master's degree preferred.
