About The Position

The Social Services Assistant will help with the operations of the social services department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • CA Driver's license (required)
  • Experience in data entry (preferred)
  • ServSafe food handling certificate (within first fourteen days of employment - company provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Programs
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • Team player

Responsibilities

  • Greet & assist clients visiting
  • Oversee volunteers
  • Organize catering and refreshment needs for meetings
  • Assist with Corps programs
  • Drive to pick up donations
  • Coordinate the food pantry distribution
  • Coordinate the Diaper program distribution
  • Collect data for statistics
  • Assist the unhouse clients with their mail
  • Assist with our dinner program
  • Other related duties as required
