About The Position

The Apex Therapist/SSP 2 position is focused on providing direct services to youth ages 5-26 and their families. The role requires a Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field, along with full licensure or associate licensure actively pursuing full licensure. The therapist will be responsible for conducting initial and ongoing assessments, individual, group, and family therapy, and maintaining collaborative documentation. The position emphasizes teamwork, participation in stakeholder meetings, and collaboration with other agencies to benefit the youth served. The therapist must also maintain a 50% billable productivity rate and complete all required trainings and certifications.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Counseling or related field.
  • Full licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, ECT) or associate licensure actively pursuing full licensure (LAPC, LAMFT, LMSW, ECT).
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct services to youth ages 5-26 and their families.
  • Ability to maintain productivity standards set forth by the agency.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures related to the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EMR and agency/state required reporting.
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements and ability to complete insurance authorizations.
  • Experience in community engagement and partnership building.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial and ongoing behavioral health assessments.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions on school campuses and in-clinic as needed.
  • Complete all required supporting documentation within 24 hours from the date of service.
  • Complete prior authorizations for insurance reimbursement.
  • Facilitate tiered interventions for each school being served as needed.
  • Conduct yearly Apex presentations and teacher lunch and learns.
  • Participate in small groups and climate change projects.
  • Provide classroom guidance and participate in the Mental Health Alliance.
  • Maintain a 50% productivity rate with 50% dedicated to non-billable time.
  • Act as a liaison between the agency and contracted agencies.
  • Assist with reporting submissions to DBHDD, DFCS, COE including monthly and quarterly monitoring reports.
  • Assist individuals and families with community linking to positively impact recovery.
  • Attend community stakeholders and inner-agency meetings.
  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with local schools and tutoring centers.
  • Attend all required agency and DBHDD trainings.
  • Communicate accurate information in a professional and courteous manner.
