The Social Service Caseworker II is a permanent, full-time position used by various agencies throughout the state. This role is responsible for social service work, including developing social service plans for select caseloads, investigating abuse and neglect cases, providing crisis intervention, assessing need and delivery of services, arranging for clinical services and/or planning for nursing home care, determining financial eligibility of day care and homemaker schedules, recruiting applicants for foster care and residential day care providers, speaking to the general public and groups on the department's community resources program, and preparing court reports and testifying in court.
