About The Position
The William S. Hart Union High School District is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Classroom Teacher to join our team. The Classroom Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, providing instruction, assessing student performance, and maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid California teaching credential in Social Science
- EL/CLAD authorization required
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective instructional practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
Nice To Haves
- Valid Bilingual Authorization (BILA) credential or commitment to enroll and complete a BILA program preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to effectively teach and communicate in both languages preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans in accordance with state and district standards
- Provide instruction to students in a variety of subjects
- Assess and evaluate student performance, providing feedback to students and parents as necessary
- Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and success
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
