About The Position
This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake County. The RESP-Net Social Research Assistant Position is in the Communicable Disease Branch (CDB) at the North Carolina Division of Public Health. The person in this position will work within the Respiratory Disease Surveillance program and with partners at CDC and CSTE to conduct a population-based hospitalization surveillance project for influenza, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and COVID-19. This position will provide part-time support for the programs' surveillance via prompt and accurate case reporting and vaccine verification to appropriate North Carolina and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) public health officials. This position will work collaboratively with Respiratory Disease team and RESP-NET epidemiologists.
