About The Position

Expatiate Communications is looking for a part-time Social Media Specialist to enhance its online presence and engagement. The role involves managing social media accounts, creating content, and utilizing AI technology to generate articles that align with the company's vision. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a basic understanding of social media platforms.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of social media platforms and their functionality.
• Strong written communication skills with an ability to create engaging content.
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Previous experience in social media management or digital marketing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills, a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (a plus, but not required).
• Video and podcast production and multiplatform editing, is a plus.
• Knowledge of web and app referral traffic across social media, search and direct sources, a plus.
• Experience with WordPress and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, or similar software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and scheduling content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and interactions.
• Engage with our online community and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Research and propose ideas for social media campaigns and promotions.
• Collaborate with the Executive team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
• Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns.
• Create and manage company social media profiles.
• Use AI to create custom news articles and manage VillageED blogs with related content.
• Perform other related duties as required.
