About The Position

Service Experts is seeking a Social Media & PR Manager to lead the strategy, planning, creation, and execution of national organic social media and public relations efforts, including proactive earned media strategy, executive thought leadership, and brand storytelling across national outlets. This role will own the national social presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, while also helping support and scale content across 75+ local Facebook pages. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and evolve the social brand voice for Service Experts. The person in this role will play a key part in shaping how the brand shows up across social platforms, creating a stronger, more consistent, and more engaging presence for both national and local audiences. This person will be responsible for building content calendars aligned to national go-to-market priorities, briefing and managing agency partners, creating and editing social-first content directly, supporting local market requests, and reporting on engagement and performance. In addition, this role will manage the public relations agency to drive earned media opportunities and ensure those placements are amplified across owned channels through coordinated social, article, and video content. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with experience developing brand stories, managing agencies, creating compelling content, and connecting earned and owned media into a unified brand presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in social media, brand content, or integrated communications.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn content strategy, platform best practices, and audience engagement tactics.
  • Proven experience creating social-first content directly, including writing, editing, and developing creative concepts.
  • Experience briefing and managing agencies and external partners.
  • Experience managing PR firms and supporting earned media strategy and execution.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organic social media strategy for Service Experts’ national brand channels across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Ensure relevant video content is uploaded and optimized on YouTube.
  • Oversee and help guide content strategy for 75+ Facebook pages, 1 national Instagram profile and company LinkedIn ensuring alignment with brand standards and business priorities.
  • Build and manage social content calendars based on national go-to-market messaging, seasonal priorities, home services offers, and business initiatives.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate marketing priorities into engaging, channel-appropriate social content.
  • Support local market and field requests with social guidance, content recommendations, and coordination as needed.
  • Develop and execute national public relations strategies that elevate Service Experts’ executive leaders, subject-matter experts, and brand authority.
  • Identify, plan, and orchestrate high-impact executive and expert media opportunities, including national interviews, commentary, features, and speaking opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leadership to prepare executives for press engagements, including messaging, talking points, and interview prep.
  • Help define, develop, and maintain the company’s social brand voice across platforms.
  • Use social platform tools to post content to profiles and respond to social comments.
  • Monitor social trends, audit competitor social posting, platform updates, and audience behavior to continuously improve strategy and performance.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend expansion opportunities across emerging and additional social profiles to grow the brand reach and relevance.
  • Create, edit, and publish social-first content for brand channels, including copy, creative concepts, short-form videos, graphics, and other platform-native assets.
  • Brief and manage creative partners to develop content that aligns with brand voice, campaign goals, and channel best practices.
  • Ensure content is optimized by platform and tailored to audience, format, and business objective.
  • Maintain brand consistency while evolving content to feel modern, engaging, and native to each platform.
  • Manage the relationship with the public relations agency to support proactive storytelling, media outreach, and earned media placements.
  • Coordinate internally to maximize the value of earned media placements by extending them across owned channels.
  • Partner with content and creative teams or agency partners to repurpose PR wins into social posts, videos, articles, and other owned content.
  • Track, analyze, and report on organic social engagement, content performance, and channel growth.
  • Provide regular insights and recommendations to improve content effectiveness and audience engagement.
  • Connect public relations and social efforts so earned media placements are amplified through owned channels in a timely and strategic way.
  • Collaborate across marketing, brand, content, and field teams to ensure an integrated approach to storytelling and campaign execution.
