The Social Media Intern will support the marketing team in creating, curating, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms. This role is ideal for creative, organized, and social-media savvy individuals who love storytelling and staying on top of trends. You will gain hands-on experience managing brand social media accounts, developing content calendars, strategizing social media content, analyzing performance, and contributing ideas to help grow brand awareness and engagement.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a related undergraduate program (Marketing, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media and Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends
  • Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other content creation tools preferred
  • Must be able to be in office in Carmel, IN (we will work around your school schedule)
  • Comfortable being on camera or representing a brand publicly
  • Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Fearless in tackling new challenges or trying new trends
  • Shows initiative and confidence when stepping outside of comfort zone
  • Embraces feedback and change with confidence and positivity
  • Unbothered by the spotlight and thrives on visibility and engagement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and bring creative ideas to the table

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and scheduling social media content across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Proactively engaging on social media (commenting on relative and viral content to increase visibility)
  • Community engagement (managing and responding to DM’s/comments in the Inbox in a timely way)
  • Support the development of monthly content creation and campaign planning
  • Supporting trend monitoring
  • Identifying opportunities for us to join conversations in real time.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns – what is working and why
  • Stay informed on social media trends, pop culture, and platform updates
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align content with business goals
  • Monitor engagement and respond to followers in a timely, on-brand manner
  • Any other assignments as needed
