We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our Brand & Creative team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, digital strategy, and team collaboration within a professional environment. The intern will be integral to expanding our reach and reinforcing our brand voice through compelling visual and written content. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Communications & Social Media Designer.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Demonstrable understanding of major social media platforms and their respective content styles (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating content for an organization's social media channels (school club, personal brand, previous internship)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, InShot)
  • Familiarity with content management/scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later)

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and optimize engaging social design assets (graphics, short videos, stories) for various platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) in collaboration with the Social Media Designer
  • Participate actively in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative, on-trend ideas for new social media posts and campaigns
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing the digital asset library and content calendar
  • Work directly with the Communications Team to submit content drafts for review, incorporate feedback, and secure final approvals
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media platform features, trends, and content best practices
  • Assist with light administrative tasks related to social media management, scheduling, and basic performance tracking
