About The Position

Join Our Team As Social Media Intern JOB SUMMARY Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the nation’s leading youth-development organization, seeks a full-time intern interested in gaining valuable marketing and communications experience for a national nonprofit organization. This position(s) is available to college students or recent graduates looking to support the team remotely and in person at the Atlanta-based national office.Students seeking college credit should be prepared to provide proper documentation from their accredited college or university to receive internship credit and should not expect payment. Requirements

  • Interest or passion in nonprofit work / BGCA mission
  • Strong knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and their best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Creative mindset with a passion for social media and digital marketing
  • Proactivity
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage several projects at a time
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Basic graphic design skills (using tools like Canva or similar) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Supporting community engagement efforts across social channels
  • Assist with social listening & monitoring as it relates to Brand, partners, alums & local clubs
  • Conducting research to support ongoing marketing needs/projects
  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of daily social media posts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and executing creative campaigns and promotions to drive engagement.
  • Assist with content creation, including writing copy, designing graphics, and curating relevant media (images, videos).
  • Source UGC and community stories for content opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
