About The Position

San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep is seeking a results-driven Social Media Contractor to manage and grow our presence across [Platforms: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.]. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for the strategy, creation, and execution of content that aligns with our company goals. This is a project-based role requiring a self-starter who can manage their own schedule and tools to deliver high-quality work. Location: Hybrid (On-site content capture is required but remote for other responsibilities) Compensation: $20–$25/hour OR flat rate/month retainer based on experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator (portfolio required).
  • Expertise in video editing for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
  • Proficiency with social media scheduling tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines without direct supervision.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a focus on brand voice.
  • 1099 status- Candidate must provide their own equipment, software, and work environment. They will be responsible for their own self-employment taxes

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: You will produce high-quality assets including short-form video (Reels/TikToks), and compelling graphics (Canva/Adobe).
  • Content Strategy & Calendar: Develop and maintain a 1–3-month content calendar covering organic posts and/or paid campaigns.
  • Community Management: Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster positive community sentiment.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide monthly or weekly analytics reports detailing reach, engagement, and ROI, with actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Platform Management: Execute all scheduling and posting using third-party tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social ).
  • Trend Monitoring : Stay updated on platform algorithm changes and emerging social trends to keep our brand relevant.
