About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a Social Media Assistant Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCE's K12 Educational Development department. This role contributes to educational transformation by developing superior ways to help schools grow and prosper, providing transparent programs, intuitive online learning technologies, and well-established academic models that promote student success and institutional growth. Employment is contingent upon the satisfactory outcome (as determined by the university) of pre-employment screening activities, including a background check.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work quickly under the pressure of deadlines.
• Ability to work with subjects, create content, and showcase the subject matter.
• Comfort working in a professional environment and interacting with adults and K-12 students.
• Access to a personal vehicle
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Responsibilities

• Preparing graphics pre and post events
• Data entry and/or wrap-up summaries in social form using Hootsuite.
• Creating, organizing, and editing flyers used for department or college initiatives.
• Appropriate use of camera equipment, including lenses, tripods, microphones, and interviewing hardware and software, YouTube Channel content creation
• Attending outreach events and representing the K12 Development department at events as needed
