About The Position

The Social Media Analyst position at Georgia Power involves supporting the Corporate Affairs team by managing social media analytics and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of various social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in Social Media for a company, school elective, or applicable work.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous social media content creation experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, news, and customer feedback.
  • Analyze social media metrics and generate reports to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Support the Social Media Manager in engaging with followers during crisis events such as storm restoration.
  • Monitor key terms and accounts daily.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to social media management, such as scheduling posts and organizing content calendars.
  • Prepare and present social media listening reports to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in optimizing paid social to match industry trends.
  • Support content creation with photo and video shoots in the field.
