About The Position

Requirements

• Minimum age of 13
• Knowledge of rules for the applicable sport(s)
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, and spectators

Responsibilities

• Officiate league games and tournaments in accordance with rules and Park District policies
• Make quick, impartial judgments and clearly communicate decisions to players and coaches
• Maintain game control, ensuring safety and positive sportsmanship
• Mentor and support less experienced officials
• Effectively resolve on-field conflicts
• Attend required meetings, workshops, and training sessions
• Work evenings and weekends as scheduled
• Stay adaptable and open to learning new sports and activities
