Job Description As a Security Officer - Mobile Vehicle Patrol in Reston, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, communicate clearly, and deliver customer service that builds trust with teams on site. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at an aero and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production and office areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations.
• Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, issuing temporary credentials when assigned, and directing authorized personnel to the correct areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services and completing incident documentation as required.
• Monitor CCTV, intrusion alarms, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and report maintenance or operational issues through the appropriate channels.
