About The Position

Allied Universal® is hiring a SOC Operator - Graveyard Union Site in Santa Clara, CA The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is staffed twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The position monitors all security, communications and fire/life safety systems and is the liaison between all security departments. The Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator is directly responsible for the accurate documentation of routine and unusual events occurring on or near the facilities and maintains control of all equipment and keys in the Control Room. This position is responsible for competing task work orders for all maintenance needs reported.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity in and around the property.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and site personnel regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Assist with access control procedures to help to deter unauthorized entry to the premises.
  • Support emergency response and evacuation procedures as required by site policies.
