About The Position

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their team in Houston, Texas. This role involves monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats as part of a dedicated team. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring three days onsite.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Technology Security.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and security principles.
• Proficiency in security-related technologies and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, and log management.
• Efficient in Incident Management and Response.
• Technical certifications like CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, GCIA, GCIH, or similar preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security logs from various technologies.
• Stay updated with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, mitigation, and industry best practices.
• Conduct detailed security event analysis from network traffic attributes and host-based attributes.
• Work in shifts to support 24/7 operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on incidents from initial detection through final resolution.
