About The Position
The SOAR Nurse Externship Program is designed for LPN students, specifically for the June 2025 cohort starting on June 2, 2025. This program provides continuous employment until graduation from the LPN Program. Nurse Externs will support nurses and other medical staff in caring for patients in a safe and compassionate manner, committing to a minimum of three hours a month. Responsibilities include observing, documenting, and communicating patient needs and status changes to the healthcare team, providing emotional support and education to patients, and assisting with nursing practice interventions under the direction of a registered nurse. The role emphasizes quality service through a collaborative approach to patient care and promotes positive patient outcomes through inquiry and evidence-based practice.
